will i ever have a baby?

Question Posted Wednesday September 14 2011, 9:10 pm

Hi.. I've been with my boyfriend for nearly 3 years, we have our own place and we really want a baby but there is just no joy for us at all! Its getting me down, everytime we 'do it' he 'does it' up me and there's still no hope! I really don't want to see my doctor just yet, I'd just like advice if anybody else has been in this situation and have taken anything to boost there chances, everybody is getting pregnant around me and it feels like I'm the only one who's not!! :(

Hi zane, I'm the one who asked the question, I'm from england, united kingdom, and yeah me and my boyfriend have our own place, he is a roofer, I am a hairdresser we get a good wage, we are financially stable for a child! We've lived here for over a year now, and its not just because 'everybody' around me is getting pregnant its because since I've said I wanted a baby, it seems like everybody around me is getting pregnant! And I just carnt! And I no having a baby isn't just about 'dressing them up' or anything like that I'm 20 and I have a lot of neices and nephews lol :) but I just think its time I want one of my own but I just carnt I just need to know if anybody else has had this problem and actually done something about it and had a baby in the end :) x

EDIT: If you are ready for a baby and are having a hard time getting pregnant you may want to make an appointment with a fertility clinic. Also, You can buy ovulation kits to get a better idea of when you are ovulating. Sometimes it takes people a little longer then the average person.

Just by reading your paragraph, I can already tell you are too young for a baby.

Here are a few questions: Do you live on your own? Are you and your boyfriend financially stable? Do you and your boyfriend have jobs that pay more than 9 bucks an hour and give you no less then 30 hours a week? If you can't answer yes to all these questions you are nowhere ready for parenthood. I'm not lecturing you, These are very important things to think about before bringing a baby into this world.

Babies require a lot of time and expenses and an innocent child should not be born into this world unless both parents are able to fully provide for that child and support them with the proper living environment. It is such a horrible selfish thing to want a baby just because everyone else is having one. Everyone else, Is likely NOT ready for a child and is very likely struggling to get by and support their child properly. It is a proven fact that 1 in 5 American families live in poverty. Do you really want to be that 1 in 5?? This doesn't mean you can't have children but RIGHT NOW I do not think having children would be a smart move at all. The best way to overcome the wanting of a baby is too try and avoid all influence as much as possible. Trust me, Don't end up like those young Mom's that have to rely on Mom and Dad to support their poor choices.
