Lisp because of retainer! :(

Question Posted Friday September 2 2011, 12:15 pm

Hey there!

I got my braces removed and started wearing retainers 3 weeks ago. Hence, I had to deal with the lisp. The problem is, it's been 3 weeks and I still have the lisp! People say it'll go away after a while but it's still here. I even try reading aloud to make it go away. I feel discouraged to wear it because people keep making fun of me.

Is there anyway to get rid of this lisp quickly? Help please :( Thanks in advance!

Well, people may be making fun of your lisp now, but later in life when they have disgusting teeth, you can make fun of them with your perfectly straight teeth.
