Many libraries have an electronic component now, which is fantastic. I know that mine does: as long as you have a card, you can "borrow" books from their website(the license expires after a few weeks).

As for online libraries, there really aren't any yet. However, there is a website called Project Gutenberg which has an enormous collection of free and legal ebooks. The only catch? They're all pretty old, because the reason they're free is that their copyright has expired.

You'll love your e-reader. I know mine almost never leaves my side!
