Hi there! So I just got my braces removed last Saturday, so now I'm wearing retainers.
Wearing them really makes it hard to talk so I tried to do my research online and a lot of websites said that I'll eventually get used to it and it'll go away after 2-3 days.
It's already Thursday and I still have the retainer lisp. As much as possible, I still talk to people, even though my friends keep making fun of me. I only remove my retainers during meals though.
Is it because I'm not talking enough?-___- I even tried reading a book aloud when I first got my retainers.
Any ideas? I'd like to quit being made fun of now.

And she repeated it quite a few times, and as she got used to it, it went away. Tell me if it Works for you :) [ Eunice101's advice column | Ask Eunice101 A Question ]
