Tragus piercing

Question Posted Thursday August 4 2011, 11:28 am

I am interested in getting my tragus pierced. I've only actually had my ears pierced, so I'm kind of nervous about a more invasive body piercing.

Has anyone had this done? Did it hurt a lot?

And what about the healing time? Are there any special precautions or cleaning methods I'll need?

And if you did get it done, how much did it cost? I know each piercing place is different, but I would just like an idea.

Thanks!

Getting your tragus pierced is like having your cuff pierced. It'll take up to 6 weeks to heal, and it's going through cartilage, so it'll sting. I've never had them done myself but I have done them plenty of times. Many customers told me it only pinched a little, or didn't hurt at all, but everyone has a different threshold for pain.
Prices of piercings very. But I've never seen a piercing cost more than 25 dollars, and no less than 5. Cleaning the piercing is like cleaning your other ear piercings, ensure to keep it clean by properly rinsing it in the shower, as well as applying the ear care solution. Also, piercers and tattooists typically give you a pamphlet or a small sheet of paper with proper care instructions. It also doesn't hurt to get to know the people you'll be going to to get said piercing. Know that they are clean, and never use the same needles and what not.
