Not to be afraid..

Question Posted Thursday July 28 2011, 5:17 pm

My name is B.
18/F

I met this guy when I was doing some volunteer work. He is 3 years older than I am, and absolutely perfect because he has major respect and we have all the same values. I feel this could go somewhere. I constantly get scared when it comes to opening up in a new relationship because of past relationships. How can i prevent myself from getting so scared and ruining everything? We have the same wants in life, and we want the same career even though he will get it much sooner than I will. We both are on our way to becoming Police Officers, and I find that a plus because we both know a lot, him more, but I find great potential in this and I just don't want to be scared. HELP!

I know what it's like to be scared to open up,. to be scared to try something new,. but you just have to remember that you deserve this! You deserve to be happy! Just take things one step at a time. Don't Rush into anything,. He seems like he is a really good match for you and seems like things are going well.

Hope this helps:)
Don't be afraid to take a chance on love:)

Think about your past relationships. Are those people any thing like this person? This guy sounds perfect for you, congratulations. Take a leap of faith, and trust him to help you feel better. If he really is perfect for you he will understand that you might be scared or want to take things slow. There's nothing to be scared of when someone you love is by your side. :)
