Broke and need loans for college

Question Posted Tuesday July 26 2011, 3:06 pm

I got accepted to Ohio University last year I did everything to atten this year, I completed my FAFSA payed my housing contract and have been staying on top of school. My school redid the busget so I just recently got my completed FAFSA results back. I have half of my school payed for but still have to find loans for 12,000. I live with my mom who doesnt make much money at all so she cant get a loan for me she doesnt have the credi for and cant afford it. Im terrified that all of my plans will soon be gone it's to late for everything. I need to know my options on how to get loans without having the money right now. Thanks in advance I am clueless about a lot of this and just need to know if there is hope for everything that I have been planning.

Visit your schools financial aid office. There are a number of grants available that you may qualify for as well as federally backed student loans. The counselors in the financial aid office can walk you through the process.
