I am a very petite person, a little shorter than 5 ft and about 110 lbs. I don't consider myself fat, or skinny. I have a decent size bum, but it seems my midsection has more weight than i would like! I want wider hips and a bigger butt, I am very tiny so many outfits I try on, are not very flattering and usually swallow my small figure. I would like to lose some weight, as well as gain muscle! Any ideas? :) Thanks!

I didn't want ugly arms so I started small by lifting 3lb. weights in the morning and at night. Since it was a small amount it helped tone my arms ( not TOO MUCH muscle just the right amount for me to feel better about them)
So I would just start small like I did. Squats and lunges will help your thighs, and then if you do the weights like I did it also helps to shape your boobs ( sounds stupid I know but it REALLY does help a ton!)
Something I've never tried because I don't have the patience for it is Yoga. Alot of women reccomend it for not only helping you relieve stress but for shapeing up your body as well. You might consider trying that if you want. I do know that it helps clear your skin though, because it get's the blood flowing throughout your body ( I watched a special, that's when I tried yoga)
