I would say it depends on your definition of righteousness. It could be different than mine. Do you want to live your life by my definitions, society's definitions, or your own?
Society has set certain standards. But who's standards are those? Living by someone else's standards can get pretty jaded if you ask me. It seems those standards are changing daily.
If you want live righteously by society standards, then make sure you never promote anything truly healthy, never cut your friends hair without a permit, or kiss a man with a mustache in public. (believe it or not, it is against the law for a man with a mustache to kiss a woman in public here in the USA)
I believe living righteously, simply put, means living your life in truth. Never lie, cheat, steal, or act maliciously against another being. Never raise a hand in anger, only self defense. Always treat others the way you have them treat you. Love must live in your heart. Therefor, forgiveness, in my life, is the only righteous way to live.
Be kind, honest, and forgiving of everyone and everything, including yourself.
You feel as if you are not living righteous because you are comparing the way you live, to a set of standards that are not yours.
It is obvious that you feel you are not living right. Why is that? Are you not happy with the definition of the righteous life you are expected to live? Be yourself. Fill your heart with love and forgiveness always, and you will see my definition of righteousness.
It is so warn here, even on the coldest of days. My life is blessed with fabulous beauty and peace of mind, all because I keep forgiveness and love in my heart for everyone, and everything.
I am cash poor, but I fell like the wealthiest woman on the planet. Love cannot live where there is no forgiveness. You must forgive in order for love to live in your heart.
I do hope that this helped give you something to think about. Everyone has their version of righteousness, so no two answers will be the same.
I would hope more people see forgiveness as the key to love, happiness, truth, and abundance. To me those things are truly righteous.
