I put in a tampon even though I don't have my period yet, is this bad?
Okaay , so im a 12 year old girl and i dont have my PERIOD YET.So I got a tampon and took out the plastic and just got the cotton and string i put the cotton in and just left the string out for like 3 or 4 minutes and took it out but it didn't hurt am i at risk of yeast infection please help!

Because you haven't started your period yet, I recommend that you don't put in tampons. There's no point in wasting one when you haven't started yet.
My advice to you, start out with pads, then when you get more comfortable, use tampons. But if you already feel comfortable, then go ahead and use tampons

If you wear a tampon make sure you change it frequently, Also NEVER pee when a tampon is still inside. Urinating when a tampon is inside can cause infections and increase your chances for a bladder infection. Always make sure you take it out first
