How can I tell if I have gotten my period?

Question Posted Wednesday June 8 2011, 8:04 pm

I've had my period for maybe a year, but it's still regulating. I know about spotting so I'm not sure if it's my period. I'm almost 14 and I haven't really had cramps. I have been getting hungrier, and slightly gassy. I have been getting alot more acne and maybe the occasional mood swing (very minor). I also have been getting headaches more frequently. So I'm not sure if it's a sign of a growth spurt or if it's a sign that I'm about to get my period. (when I get my period the blood kind of lumps together, which is what it's doing.) Please answer soon, it's really worrying me. Thank you.

Yeah it sounds like you're getting your period. I PMS (Pre menstrual syndrome.. basically all the symptoms you described) about 3-7 days before my period. So I think you should be expecting your soon.
