punk bands

Question Posted Tuesday May 24 2011, 10:26 am

Can anyone recommend some good punk bands? No, not 'punk' like my chemical romance or green day. I mean legit, like what I hear coming from the UK like little flags. Please make it music thats not popular, I want somethin new. Thank you :)

The Japanese all girl band The News. Scathing political punk with some of the most caustic riffage you are going to hear from any punk band anywhere. Plus they are babes.

There is also an artist I found on You Tube called Mary Magdalan. Hardcore art punk that is compelling, nasty and smart.
