how to start my first period?!

Question Posted Sunday May 15 2011, 1:24 pm

Heeey!
I'm 11 yrs old and I am quite small and petite. I seriously wanna start my first period. Any tips on how to make it come?

Now, I don't want any crap about 'it'll come when its ready' 'trust me you don't want it, it hurts' blah blah blah. I just want some help. I'll do almost anything. Just please help.

Thank you =)

This is about as a relevant as a boy asking how to grow his first pube. I don't think you can just START your period, it just happens. Be patient, why do you want to bleed from your vagina monthly?

Ignoring the fact that you are under the age of 13 and therefore should not be using this website (which is why I have just banned you), you cannot make your period come. It WILL come when it's ready and when it does, you'll think it's a pain in the ass. You are not going to get the answer you are looking for because it simply doesn't exist.

The only way you can make some sort of prediction on when it will come is to find out when your mum, sisters, aunts etc started theirs. You should also remember that the period is the last stage of puberty. You will start developing breasts, pubic hair etc first. If you haven't got that far then it's unlikely you will be starting your period anytime soon. Starting to produce vaginal discharge is also an indicator. You will probably start your period within 1-2 years of beginning to get discharge.
