How do I stop wanting to eat so much?

Question Posted Thursday April 28 2011, 4:25 pm

I go on a diet every week and I cheat. I weigh 146 pounds.

My problem is I'm always craving food. It's not like I can just get rid of all the junk food in my house because other people in my family eat it too. What can I do to stop craving food so much and stop binge eating whenever I want chocolate or salt?

Thanks.

You really should talk to your family about cutting down on the junk food. If they can't control themselves, have them hide it in their room, so it isn't as accessible to you. It is very hard to have self control when it's so easy to access. My suggestion is to eat 5 or 6 smaller meals, as your body will be able to burn it off easier. Don't skip any meals as you will want to overeat the next meal. Allow yourself 1 day a week for a cheat meal because if you deprive yourself of any goodies, you will never stick with a good diet. Try to stay away from breads and sugars as much as possible. I hope this helps and good luck.
