Fishing and Crabbing in New Jersey?

Question Posted Wednesday April 27 2011, 4:44 pm

I'm looking for some people from New Jersey that are into fishing to answer this.

I'm from PA but Im going to NJ in about a week for a few days and want to do some fishing. I have a PA fishing license, do I need a NJ license as well? If so, how do I go about getting one? Can I do it online?

Also, I need tips and advice on crabbing equipment. I'm looking for inexpensive stuff because I'll barely ever use it.

Feel free to include any other tips, advice or ideas you have regarding fishing in South Jersey.

Thanks!

yeah, if you're over 16 you need a license. out of state costs a bit more than local, and make sure you get the right license(ie: freshwater or saltwater). just check this link:
