On loestrin but my period still messed up

Question Posted Monday March 21 2011, 3:25 pm

Ive been on loestrin since august or september and it has really worked for me as far as getting my period. I was getting it at the same time every month on time. After my period ended I hooked up with someone, but didn't have sex. This was on feb 1st. Then in march fr my next period I got it when I was supposed to. But then 2 weeks later I got my period again. This time it was a different flow than usual though. I know this is a stupid question since I didn't actually have sex but I don't understand why this would be happening when the pill had been working so well when it came to my period. Any possible explanations?

Sometimes it takes awhile to adjust to birth control pills. If you feel that something isn't right, schedule an appointment with your Gynecologist.
