how likely is it to get pregnant when you're on birth control

Question Posted Sunday March 13 2011, 9:36 pm

18/f
hi, i've been on birth control for over a year now. i switched kinds of birth control maybe 3 or 4 months ago and now i usually get my period on my first sugar pill (saturday-yesterday). well it didn't come yesterday and i took 2 of my pills this month late (in the morning instead of at night because i forgot). i usually have sex with a condom and if i don't use one he pulls out anyways (i know this isn't reliable but i'm on birth control also so the chances of me getting pregant are very low) i'm just worried about the 2 pills i took late. i'm only a day late but i'm just worried anyways because the past few months i've gotten my period on saturday morning on the first sugar pill and i did take 2 pills in the pack late. anyone know the chances that i'm pregnant? thanks

my doctor told me a very very slim chance, she told me about 1 in 100 girls will come back to her office pregnant after prescribing them birth control. if your taking it right, you wont get pregnant.. girls are sooooo cautious about this but its really nothing to worry about. me and my boyfriend had sex unprotected for 2 years when i was on the pill and nothing happened.. theres a good reason why the pills are called birth control pills lol, so no worriesss (:

You should discuss this with a Gynecologist or someone at Planned Parenthood. If you take it right, you shouldn't have any problems.
