hair so damaged it won't take color

My hair is really damaged to the point where I try to dye my hair and it will go in but only in certain areas and it washes out in to days but so imma turn 21 I couple of days I was wondering if it would work for me I don't care if o
It only lasts a day my other ??? Is will it damage my hair more

If your hair is already damaged, it'll become even more damaged as you dye/straighten/curl your hair. Basically, anything you do to your hair that involves heat or chemicals will ultimately be damaging to your hair.

I've never heard of a case where someone's hair was so damaged that the dye doesn't stay in. Perhaps you're not leaving the dye in for the required amount of time or you're not evenly distributing the dye?
