My boyfriend and I have been sexually active for a little over a month, and have had sex a total of 4 times. Last night was the first time without a condom, so we used lubricant. Afterwords, I was extremely sore and uncomfortable. At home, I saw that my entire genital area was swollen. I tried to reduce the swelling with an ice pack, but this morning it's no different. Having never had any reaction to condoms, I'm concerned that this has to do with the lube.
We lost our virginity to each other, no I'm not seeking advice for possible STDs.

It was definitely the lube and a couple of things you can do in the future is to be more selective about which lube you use. Do not use the heated or flavored lubes. Try using a water based or ones with natural botanical ingredients. Those are less likely to have an allergic reaction with your vagina. If you're still having troubles with those, then you may just have to rely on the old standby of saliva. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me. I hope this helps and good luck.
