Parents don't like best friend

Question Posted Friday February 4 2011, 4:53 pm

My parents don't like my best friend at all. Just because of a little thing that happened like 7 months ago that i swear, wasn't a big thing. i asked them why they don't like her and they just said "i dont know, just something about her." i've been friends with her long enough and shes a good person. they won't tell me anymore and when i asked more questions they yelled at me. and my status on facebook was about my parents hating my friend and she commented asking if it was about her :/ why, i dont know. but do i tell her? and how do i get them over not liking her? please help me

Parents just want the best and safe live for their kids. Bring your friend around the home for awhile instead of going out. Ask her over for dinner with your family. Everyone play a game etc. Ask if you guys can all go out to eat and if she can go to. interact her with your family so they could get to know her.

From a lot of experience I know that parents can sometimes be horrible people! Annoying, interfering, no sense making people, and the worst is that they think whatever their doing is always right! This is your friendship, and your parents don't get to choose your friends, so if you got over what happened and you forgave your friend, they should too! I mean, do you like all of your parents friends?? Tell your parents that! But you should tell your friend, don't make her think that you can't be friends anymore, just let her know so she can maybe act a little different around your parents, extra nice or something! Talk to your parents, you have a right to be herd!
