Valentines gift for my boyfriend

Question Posted Wednesday February 2 2011, 10:41 pm

Hey you guys, I really need your help. I only been dating my boyfriend less than a week right now and valentines day is coming up, and I have no idea what to get my boyfriend. So can you guys give me some gift suggestions? I really am stuck.

1. Something related to his hobby

If your boyfriend has a specific hobby try considering them something relates to it. If he is a musician and plays guitar try buying some guitar picks and putting them in a little box tied with a ribbon and a card. Guitar picks are not expensive and they are very useful. You could even make jewelry out of them. All you'd need is a guitar pick and a chain. Get the guitar pic and poke a hole (it's best to use a very flimsy guitar pick as one that is to hard will make it difficult to get a hole through it.) you just want a hole that is big enough to thread the chain through. I used a hammer and small

nail to make my hole, you can be creative and use anything that will make a small sufficient hole. Then thread the string through and you have a necklace that is unisex.

If he plays the drums try getting some new sticks for him, find out which one he uses and buy those, tie them with red ribbon and a card and you're done.

2. Small box with Kisses.

You can get a small box like a small gift box and fill it with 365 chocolate kisses! Then add a little note explaining that he now can have a kiss everyday of the year from you. This is a great idea especially for those long distance relationships.

3. Pictures.

Another great gift idea is to take a picture of you and your boyfriend or even just one of yourself and have it framed nicely. If he has his own place itwould be a great addition don't you think?

4. Little gift box.

Most local dollar stores offer little gift boxes that are decorative and inexpensive. Then just be creative! You can fill it with his favorite chocolates, candy, coffee, a small stuffed animal, and even add something pertaining to his hobby like guitar picks or drum sticks, even sports memorabilia. Wrap it in cellophane and add a card and bow. It's quick, creative and yummy too!

hope i helped!

It's hard since you've only been going out a short amount of time. I suggest you keep it light hearted and fun. Maybe get him some of his favorite candy, or bake cupcakes and decorate them. As far as gifts go I wouldn't get too lavish, maybe a movie you think he would like or a CD, or something funny. I got my boyfriend a pillow pet that is valentines day themed. It's a cute and fun gift that doesn't put too much pressure on anyone.

You two could agree not to do gifts and do something fun together, like go ice skating or have a movie night. Whatever you think would be fun!

Don't worry too much about it, thats how people end up unhappy on this holiday because their expectations are too high or too low.

Good luck,

-Abby
