a 90's movie I can't remember the name of... can you help?

OK, it’s a bunch of little movies in one and it’s a 90’s movie and it’s not a cartoon. I remember one had a hoola-hooping baby sitter and when she put the kid to sleep he yelled because he heard something in his room. So she came in and gave him milk and cookies. Then the closet door opened and it was a goofy monster and they became friends and ate the cookies and milk. The other story I remember was a girl who got a delivery at her house and it was a carpet and when she sat on it it would fly around her house. IT’S DRIVING ME CRAAAAAAAAAZY.

It's a kids movie about this kid thats left at home while his parents go out to dinner and he encounters a monster in his closet who instead of being scary is afraid of the kid. He ends up befriending the monster in his closet. It was a short film that was followed by a another about a girl who rides a magic carpet to the top of her fridge to reach a cookie jar. It sounds really dumb but it's been bugging me. Does anyone know the name or even know what I'm talking about?.
