tested negative for hiv after 10 months of possible exposure but have sympt

hello, i tested negative after 6 months and after 10 months of possible exposure. but i've been having symptoms like dry cough, facial wasting, hives. what does this mean ? is the 10 months test conclusive? please help!

I had a friend who was stuck with a needle on the street and she had to do testing for quite a while. However, if you are testing negative, chances are you wouldn't be showing symptoms without the disease first presenting itself in your tests. Call the place you got tested and ask, just to be sure and ease your mind. You may be carrying something else... you should be tested across the spectrum for STDs. So ask if they also tested for other diseases at the same time. Then go see a doctor. It could also all be stress. This is a VERY stressful situation, and you'd be amazed at how the body can react to stress. The important thing here is to concentrate on the good news - you're negative! Keep that in mind.
