You can't, unfortunately. It's sad but it's the truth. You cannot make anyone change just because you want them to. If they do not see a problem with their behavior, they will continue to go down that path. The only person you can change is you. So if you want this person to change and they won't, you must either accept it and move on, or stop hanging out with them.

You can't make someone change. You can only change how you react to that person. You're in for a long life of disappointments and frustration if you think anything you do can change someone else. We are each on our own journey. We each reach the end in our own way. Be there for love and support. Its the best you can do.
