Like the other user said, it could be something as basic as being under a lot of stress or a drastic change in eating habits. It could be pregnancy if you've been sexually active.
On the other hand, it could be an underlying health condition that needs to be sorted out immediately, like ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, hormonal imbalance, or even a condition called PCOS (PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome). These sorts of things need to be diagnosed so they can be treated. Ovarian cysts can burst and actually cause the ovary itself to erupt. Uterine fibroids could be cancerous or leave scar tissue within the uterus. Hormonal imbalances can become worse, causing facial hair growth or more. You get the idea.
You really need to ask your mom about getting you a doctor's appointment. Just tell her the truth and she'll understand. What's the worst thing that can happen if you tell her? And, if that happens, will that be the end of the world? Is your personal health and future fertility worth that risk?
You really need to see a doctor. There very well could be something wrong with you, but we can't really tell you because, even if we were doctors, we don't have the ability to properly examine and evaluate you from this sort of long-distance. [ Peeps's advice column | Ask Peeps A Question ]

Anyway, don't freak out, I missed mine for 6 months abd the doctor said it was normal. However, you should still tell your mom. I know it may be embarrassing, but that is something you really need to tell her, you'll want babies one day. It could be anything, so don't worry about it and just see what the doctor says. It could be as simple as if you've changed your eating habits or if your under a lot of stress.
