There is no reason to act fake AT ALL. You shouldn't care what others think. If you're keep trying to show people what they want to see you're going to have a lot of drama in high school. Finding yourself is a part of growing up, you can't find yourself if you're acting like someone you're not. Just tell the boy how you feel about him. I remember at your age people who were crushing on each other would act like they hate each other in front of others. He could possibly like you too.
