Is he genuinely hitting on me?

*It would be great to get a guy's opinion*
One of my good guy friend's consistently (and very cute-ly) hits on me..usually through texts and the internet. He's witty, and it's very upfront. It's very, very cute. However, I don't know if it's genuine or if he's just being cute and having fun about it.
I know he thinks I'm attractive. I'm very hard to get as I don't flirt with just anyone... (..Trying not to hard to sound concieted. Oh, and I'm not a slut)
He goes to a lot of parties, and I know hooks up with other girls.
I don't know! I'm so confused, maybe he just hits on me because sometimes I can be playful back, or I'm not sure if he just gets a good laugh out of it.
Genuine, or not? What do you think his intentions are?

Im not a guy but from what I can read here i'm not too sure if its genuine. You say he goes to a lot of parties and he gets a lot of girls, so maybe him flirting with you is a way of getting you like he gets all the other girls, do you understand what I'm trying to say? I think you playing hard to get makes him text you more and say all these cute and upfront things so he can possibly break down your wall and get to you. Hope this helps!!xx
