I bought a really nice wool coat recently. I know it's dryclean only. When I bought it, I was told it had been freshly dry cleaned and that I wouldn't need to worry about it right off the bat. So, how often should a person get their coat washed then? I don't want to ruin it by taking it too often or not often enough. I know dry cleaners are expensive too so I thought maybe a person doesn't get their coat dry cleaned as often as they should because of the prices? So...what do you think?

For example if it gets dirty with a stain, etc, take it in. But in between these visits, i would guess around the 6 month mark. Also, you could ask your dry cleaner? Small independent dry cleaners seem to be more friendly, and usually build a good rapport with frequent customers, and so you can usually expect them to be telling you the truth, instead of just lining their pockets. But i have found you a good article on "how to care for your wool coat" : [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
