Which is more accurate: a dial bathroom scale or a doctor scale?

Question Posted Saturday December 11 2010, 4:10 pm

Which is more accurate: a dial bathroom scale or one of those manual doctor's office scales?
My bathroom scale is always 5 pounds under what the scale at the doctor's office shows I weigh. I'd prefer if my bathroom scale were more accurate, but is it really?

the scales at the doctor's office are calibrated often. its pretty hard to find one that is not dead accurate.
