College Applications

Question Posted Saturday November 27 2010, 1:58 am

I'm a junior in high school and am thinking about college. I really need volunteer work but I want the work to reflect my interests, extracurricular activities, and classes. I am interested in writing(essay, poetry, maybe journalism), art(all art but especially photography), and music. Are there any charities/organizations/foundations that I can volunteer for that support writing, art and/or music?

Also, I want to enter art and writing competitions/ contests hor high school students. What are good ones? Especially prestigious and national ones.
