Do you have to be 18 to buy a pregnancy test from a pharmacy?
Question Posted Wednesday November 17 2010, 7:00 am
I'm under 18 and I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend a few weeks ago. My period is a week late and I was told I could take a pregnancy test now and it might show me if I'm pregnant. Somebody said I have to be 18 to buy an over the counter pregnancy test from a store. I look mature for my age but obviously I don't have an ID to show them at the counter. So, how can I get a pregnancy test without being 18 if this is true? I really don't want to have to go to a doctor right now just to find out if I'm pregnant. :\

You could google it, maybe there's information about state laws for that online somewhere. If it does turn out that you have to be 18, you could either go to your local Planned Parenthood or similar clinic, where they can give tests, or have a friend that's over 18 buy it for you.
