OK like the real world was to bring people together from all diff cultures and backgrounds and see what would happen if they were put into a house together. A social experiement if you will that would usually lead to people growing and developing. They would even help them to pursue their careers and sometimes they had to do a project together to learn team work...what is the point of Jersey Shore? I've seen 2 episodes and I still don't get it. Thanks for the clear replies. And please avoid saying there is no point...unless of course there is really and truly absolutley no point. Thanks.
Basically, it's a way to watch other people acting like idiots. You get to feel superior for an hour because at least you're not like them. If it's not working on you, that's because you don't need that little ego boost.

It's basically another show like "laguna beach" or "the hills" that really has no point to it, besides showing tons of drama that they claim is "reality". I don't watch it, I've seen it at my friends house, and i think I'm actually a bit dumber now from watching it, but basically it's just pretty pointless, unless you want to watch idiots drinking and hooking up, and all that kinda drama.
