What Can It Be? What should I do?
Well there is a girl that I really really like at school. I have known her for about a year. She came to the first few weeks of school. Like me, she has perfect attendance but she has not showed up for a week. Nobody seems to know why. She did not say anything the week before. I do not have her number and she does not use social networking sites. I am really worried because this was unexpected and I want to see her again. We were friends last year but now I am really starting to like her and I do not think she has noticed. Anyway It is a three day weekend and if she does not return on tuesday I will be even more worried and sad. I want to be able to see her again. : (

If she moved schools or something tragic happened to her, the school and teachers would know. I don't think there is anything to be worried about. It's very possible she came down with a bad case of the flu and should return soon. I wouldn't let it get to you.

Well if you are worried about her having moved schools, your teacher would have that information and if you are worried she has gone missing, your teacher would also know. However, the more rational explanation is that she has either left early for a holiday, or has a bad flu. If she does not return on Tuesday you can always see if the school will give you her contact information as the school nurse would need this. For example, a house phone number or a parent's cellphone. Don't worry. I'm sure she's just come down with a rough cold. Try getting her contact information if she doesn't show up on tuesday.
