Belly Ring Scar

Current belly ring scar caused by 1st pregnancy. Will scar get larger with 2nd pregnancy? How to prevent scar from stretching?

Any scar on the abdomen is likely to get stretched out and widen during pregnancy. The likelihood the scar would expand is pretty high, but, of course, nobody can guarantee that.

Pick up some lotions and moisturizers for pregnant women and mothers-to-be. It will help heal the scar some and will help the skin to retain elasticity, which will help during the tummy expansion. Apply the lotions and creams multiple times a day before, during, and after pregnancy.

There are scar creams you can purchase over-the-counter but I'm unsure if they are safe to use while pregnant. I would speak with your doctor if you're interested in that more.
