how do you tell your ex you don't want to be friends? Well, actually, I have told my ex I don't want be friends repeatedly, but every time we run into each other we have like a 2 minute friendly conversation. Then the next day he sends me these massive e-mails saying how we should really be friends, and I'm being immature and worrying too much because obviously we can have a conversation or demanding I explain my reasons for not wanting to be friends.
I don't hate this guy, but I don't want to be his friend and I don't want to argue about my reasons with him either. He's not a monster or anything, he's just a bit of a bully and I never liked the way he was condescending with me. But I am going to keep running into him sometimes and I do want to stay civil. How do I make these e-mails stop without telling him off?

Next time you see him around don't say hi. He needs to get it through his head that you don't want to be his friend. And if you keep having conversations with him when you see him your giving him the wrong idea that maybe you do want to be friends. And thats probably confusing him. Just stop talking to him little by little and he'll get the idea. I hope everything turns out well for you :) ]
