When does a man's penis start getting fat?

Question Posted Monday October 4 2010, 3:56 pm

You know how a guy's penis can be fat? When does that happen? Like when he's older or what? We were talking about reproduction and growth at school and they were saying about the average size of a penis. But does it get fat the same time it gets long? I'm confused?

The penis is just an extension of the body. It grows just as the rest of the body does. It doesn't widen at a particular time in a man's life.

Think of it this way:

A fat person.

When did they get fat?

Over time, of course. As they grew, of course. As they aged, of course.

There's no way to cause the girth of a penis to get thicker just because you, say, had your 15th birthday. It'll grown on it's own through puberty and natural growth cycles during the lifetime.

Next time bring this sort of thing up to your teacher so that they can clarify this information to everyone in the classroom. Chances are, you aren't the only one that was a little confused and curious about penis growth.

Well, usually when a boy starts going through puberty, and up until 5 years later, his penis starts growing more rapidly than before. Although the rate is increased, the majority of penile growth will occur between infancy and age five.

In relation to your question, penises don't just become 'fat' as a growth stage. If a boy/man's body is lean, chances are the area around his pubic region and the penis itself will also be relatively lean. The penis is, after all, another body part, and can put on or decrease in weight accordingly. If you're referring to girth, as in thickness, then that too develops alongside the growth stages, relatively in sync with length.
