vitamin e tablets on face

Question Posted Sunday October 3 2010, 3:07 pm

i heard that if you break up vitamin e gel capsuls and apply them to your face it can help fade post marks from acne. is this true? i've been doing it for a few days now. i'll break it up, and put it on my face, let it soak in, and then wash my face. but my vitamins are expired..haha.

so would this work?

Anything that helps your skin stay moisturized and supplies helpful vitamins to it will help it repair faster.

If your gels are only expired for a short amount of time (3 months or less) than it's still fine to use them by applying them to the skin. Beyond that you'll just want to pick up another bottle since the vitamins probably aren't as useful as they once were. You wouldn't, say, die from it though so there is no serious concern about using the expired vitamin on your skin. It just won't work as well.

Some people seem to have really great results while others just don't. Skin repair goes deeper than just one vitamin though, obviously. What they seem to be finding is that once the skin has SCARRED it can help but if the wound is fresh then it might not help.
