For some reason, I am unable to sleep. I roll around in bed for hours until its time to go to school and I feel miserable all day, unless I've had coffee or something to give me a buzz. But I don't quite crash from it either. I just don't get sleepy. Is there any reason why?
I don't believe I'm particuarly stressed either, but I'm pretty much a slacker and ignore a lot of my school work. The only real work I can do is just writing random things for myself.
Would it help to mention that over summer vacation, I pulled several allnighters or normally stayed up until 4 or 5 in the morning? I need help, please! I really need some sleep! This has been happening for about two years now, I believe, but it's really bad this time around.
laynemayhem answered Monday September 20 2010, 9:14 pm: this is a mental disorder called insomnia. and it can be caused by stress or depression or bipolar disorder. you may be stressing from not getting enough sleep. have you had any other symptoms? like weird eating habits or sadness? maybe loss of interest? how about high moods, like you're really happy one day and really sad or angry the next? this could be a number of things, but i can't diagnose you.
what i would do if i were you is talk to your parents (if you still live with them) and go see a doctor. they could give you medicine and they could also check to see if there's a bigger problem causing this, like depression. they could also give you medicine for that, too.
if you don't feel like going to the doctor, try some sleeping pills or allergy medicine that'll make you sleepy. see if that works.
