Question Posted Tuesday September 14 2010, 2:34 am

sooo i'm 18 and i've been with my boyfriend for two months now and we reallyyyy like each other, found out today he is moving to alaska for college which is farrr far away. I feel like he hasn't really talked to me about it or thought about what's going to happen to us, I don't want to bring it up I want him to. Any advice? :/

Even though you guys really like each other, you guys need to do whats best for both of you individually, not as a couple. But with that being said, it doesnt mean you guys still can't be together or can't talk. Theres facebook, skype, and always old fashion phone calling. And, im sure he will up for holidays. Talk to him about it. If you wait, you are going to feel more hurt and he wont know its making you upset. Good luck!

Although you guys really like each other, college is a new and cool experience. He will meet new people and get into new things. Ya'll's relationship CAN continue to grow, it may just be a little difficult because of the distance. But nowadays we gave facebook, skype, phones, texts, chat, snail mail. So your relationship does have a shot. Here's the thing. You need to talk to him. It's odd that you guys haven't been talking about this Alaskan school. Maybe he dreads leaving you so he speaks about it as little as possible OR maybe he doesn't wanna talk about it to distance himself from you because as I said, he will meet new people. Nonetheless, talking to him is your best bet. Hope it works out!
