Bleeding after intercourse

Question Posted Monday September 13 2010, 10:24 pm

I just got home from my boyfriend's house, we had sex twice, the first time there was no blood after, the second time after he pulled out there was a few drops of blood, I am about a week away from my period, and I am on BC. What could be the cause of this? Has this happened to anyone else? I am not a virgin, p.s.
16, female.

Bleeding after intercourse for the first time (or even second) is totally normal. Most likely, the first time you had sex, your hymen didn't tear (your cherry didn't pop). The second time, it probably did tear causing a little bleeding. It's normal, no worries :)
