He might always chat you. Needing homework, or a 'Whens the next test?' kind of thing. But, if you don't realize right off the bat that he's flirting, he might not be, and don't get discouraged. You might have to initiate it first.

lots of people say things on aim because theyre afraid to say it in rl. everyone has different views on what flirting is, most guys it's giving yu a cute nickname, saying like ummmm, do yu think i'm cute? or whatever. asking oh what would you say if i asked yu out? that's aim flirting in my book, i've had plenty of flirty aim guys.....
