problems 'down there'
I'm 18 and a girl. I've been having irritation 'down there' for about 2 weeks now. At first I thought I just didn't rinse the soap off good enough in the shower, but now since all this time has gone by and it's still irritated, I have no idea what it is. It hurts and itches down there, but it doesn't burn when I pee. I'm a virgin also. Could I have an infection? Is it just an irritation that will go away with time? Any ideas what it could be and/or what I should do about this? Should I be seeing a doctor or gynecologist? Thanks.

It sounds very much like a yeast infection but you really should make an appointment with your OB/GYN for a check up.
That takes all of the guesswork out of it and will relieve any concerns you have.
If it is a yeast infection, they can give you a one day pill to clear it up.
