do not eat any cold foods while on the rag. heat helps cramps. so stick to soup/chowder/tea/coffee, that kind of stuff.
get a hot water bag. they'll make the blow less sufferable, but not completely.
go to the store and get a medication called "all day relief" this is an OTC pill exactly the same as a prescription pill i got called "naproxine". its not a "get you high" pain killer but its still very good, and works just as good as its twin, the prescription. take two as soon as you start feeling the cramps. (if you take them too early, it wont work very well) it should make the cramps disappear for the entire day. you'll still feel soreness, but thats inevitable. if you still have a few small blows that aren't unbearable but still annoying, take two advil. you wont die from an OD, i promise.
i've heard that those heat wraps work well when it comes to cramps, as well.
this is everything i do during my time, and it works well. i hope you feel better because i feel your pain, and those kinds of cramps ARE NOT normal.
if you still feel like offing yourself during that time of the month more often than the average woman, go and get checked out with your doctor. it could be something much more serious, like my condition. or he could prescribe you something stronger.
