Football Manager 2010 Patch Problem v10.3

Everytime I try to update my football manager 2010 game to version from the original to v10.3 this error pops up.

Error creating update file - C;\Program Files (x86)\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\tools\editor\data\format\database ui\citty ui.xml

Error 0x000004c8 - this requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.

Any body else have this problem, if so could you please help me

Hi there,

As it turns out there seem to be three common reasons people are getting this error message.

1) Anti-virus software interfering with the install. This goes double if you are running AVG anti-virus. Disable the resident shield protection and try again.

2) You are in Windows Vista, and you didn't run the patch as an administrator. Right click the patch, and run as administrator.

3) Use of the wrong version of the patch. There are different downloads for boxed versions and digitally purchased versions. Re-download the patch here:
