i have no idea what to put this under but i droped my phone in the lake recently, and a day later i put in rice and it didnt work. does anyone have any ideas on how to make it work? i heard putting in the freezer works but im afraid my phone will freeze
NinjaNeer answered Sunday August 15 2010, 8:56 pm: Whatever you do, don't put it in the freezer. The water will freeze and possibly crack the components in your phone.
How long did you leave it in rice for? Was your phone on when you dropped it?
The rice trick works. It takes as long as 4 or 5 days for it to fully dry out, though. I recently fixed a camera that was dropped in a lake this way. However, if the phone was on when it was dropped, it may have shorted out your phone, in which case it will need to be repaired by a professional or replaced.
