He's leaving soon.
I like this guy, a lot and he likes me too. We want to be together but he might leave soon to the airforce in like ... maybe 8 months. Should I try it or what? I really really like him. I mean, getting my hopes up is one thing but living in regret is another.

Its always nice to a have someone to love while your gone. Gives him something to come back to and look foward to. If you really like him then be together. Dont live your life with what ifs. If it dont work out then atleast you know you tried and made an effort. If you dont then you might catch yourself regretting not being with him.

I think you should go for it. I know there's a possibility that he'll leave in 8 months, and I know that if you were in a relationship at the time, it would hurt.
But if you like each other, you should go for it. It's an experience and you never know how things are going to turn out. It's better to give it a go than to wonder what if.
