I've been going out with my boyfriend for almost three years now. He's never been romantic or thoughtful, and it's really starting to make me upset. In the past I've had to ask repeatedly to go on dates (which is pretty much just going out for dinner). And I really just want him to take me out on a date without me telling him to. I've told him this in the past, but it's been a few months since we've gone anywhere, so I don't know what to do. I know that I shouldn't expect him to take me out all the time, but is dinner once a month really too much to ask for?
shelbylynnwalker answered Tuesday July 13 2010, 12:51 am: of course not. dates are actually good for relationships. it can make things more passionate. maybe tell him that you think you need more dates. dinner at a nice/casual restaurant and a movie maybe. just something to get your mind off work or school. i'm sure if you talk to him about it, he'd understand. ;) [ shelbylynnwalker's advice column | Ask shelbylynnwalker A Question ]
