Unless you are taking them incorrectly, you have had excessive sickness/diarrhea or are taking a medication which interferes with it - most commonly antibiotics - there is no reason why your birth control pills aren't working.
If you are concerned, speak to your doctor. Aside from pregnancy, there isn't really any way of telling.
