Banking with Heritage, Bank Cheques?

Question Posted Friday June 25 2010, 6:39 am

I was just wondering if I can get a 'bank cheque' from the Heritage Building Society bank, on the day. As in tomorrow.

I need one asap.

I need one immediately because I'm purchasing a vehicle and I only just remembered. I cant withdraw more than a thousand a day, so cash is a little difficult. Bank cheques seem to be most appealing to the seller.

Please help asap.

Brisbane, Australia.

DangerNerd answered Sunday June 27 2010, 10:54 pm:
Typically, a bank check or cashier's check as they are often called here can be had for any amount you have available in your account.

I have personally handled cashiers checks for many years, and never had any issue as long as my funds were in order. To the best of my ability to discover from here, the 'bank cheque' you mention is functionally identical to cashier checks over here in the states.

I have only once had to wait more than 15 minutes for said check and that was due to an inexperienced cashier.

Hope all goes well with your transaction.
