hey i read your advice and loved it but anyway im dating this boy and we used to flirt all the time and now that were dating it feels different and i get serious butterflies when im around him i can barley speak when hes around and i can never find somthing to talk about

help me!!!!!!

I remember when I was your age and I started dating a boy for the first time, I was exactly the same.

I know you won't want to hear it, but at 13 you're still very emotionally immature and having a boyfriend is a big thing to get used to.

It might be a good idea to hang out in a group so that the pressure is off to have a one-on-one conversation with him and you're less nervous. Just try and act as you would with any friend and talk to him about his hobbies and interests. If you can't think of anything to say, ask questions. Eventually the conversation should come naturally and it'll be easier to hang out alone.

If it doesn't get any better, you might have to accept that either you're not compatible or you're just not ready to date yet.
